AP Style 5718

AP Style 5718 is the ultimate low friction packing specifically developed for air-operated valves. The unique characteristics of Style 5718 combine to form packing that can handle the constant cycling of control valves. AP Style 5718 is manufactured utilizing expanded PTFE fibers with a durable and resilient core of AP Style 5000.

The amazing qualities of expanded PTFE along with PTFE dispersion provide a low friction exterior, which prevents leakage through the braid. It will not wear or score stems and does not contain wire. Style 5718 is available in preformed sets and is designed to be utilized with AP Style 5000 end rings. Recommended Uses: Chemicals, acids, water, oil, and steam.

Style 524 Nuclear Grade

524 is made from 100% pure graphite filament yarn. Each individual yarn is treated by a proprietary process with a passive corrosion inhibitor. 524 is intended for use as a containment ring for 6300 in nuclear valve applications.

524 is braided in strict accordance to our QC program to meet the most demanding specifications of the nuclear industry. Complete traceability along with complete chemical analysis is available for each lot of 524.

Style 525

525 is manufactured from high strength, pure graphite filament yarns in a lattice braid construction. Each yarn is treated with a proprietary coating to elevate the gland load capabilities in high pressure valve applications.

525 is chemically inert and will withstand temperatures to 1000°F (steam to 1200°F). 525 is primarily used for containment rings with Style 6300 in valve applications, but is suitable for a wide range of acids, caustics, alkalies, steam and oil in high temperature pumps and valves.

Style 526

526 is braided from high quality carbon yarn, treated with graphite particles to lubricate and enhance thermal conductivity. 526 is a less expensive alternative to graphite yarn that exhibits nearly the same characteristics.

526 is recommended for acids, hot oils, alkali and steam on high temperature valves, rotating and reciprocating shafts.
