Kan-Seal Fluid Sealing Products Supplier - Compression Packing Style 7020 - Braided Flexible Graphite with Inconel Filament Jacket

Style 7020 is manufactured from ultra-high purity braided flexible graphite with an Inconel filament jacket construction. There are no binders or resins present which could cause pump sleeve or valve stem damage. Style 7020 is resilient, compressible and thermally conductive. Because the packing is self-lubricating it requires little or no product lubrication. Style 7020 is fire safe and compatible with most fluid mediums. Flexible braided graphite packing provides long life, low maintenance, and leak free operation in most all applications.

Because of this packing's unique characteristics it can withstand acids, caustics, alkali, steam, and oil in high temperature applications. Style 7020 effectively seals all types of valves. Because of the Inconel filament jacket Style 7020 is not recommended for rotary service.

Style 725 is manufactured from high strength GFO expanded PTFE fibers which trap and encapsulate finely ground graphite particles. A high temperature lubricant is applied to insure high performance and easy break-in. 725 is an excellent choice as a general service, asbestos free packing. This superior packing is wear resistant, yet due to its low co-efficient of friction will not abrade shafts. Because of this packing's extreme versatility it can withstand corrosive chemicals, acids, high pressure water and condensates on centrifugal and reciprocating pumps and valves, mixers and agitators.

Style 747 Kevlar is braided from Dupont's high strength, aramid fiber. Each strand is impregnated with a Teflon suspensoid for easy break-in and easy run-in. This high tensile strength fiber forms a resilient, durable packing, capable of withstanding sever abrasives and high pressure fluids.

Recommended Uses: 747 will handle corrosive, abrasive fluids, slurries, air, oils and gases on rotating and reciprocating shafts, valves and plungers.
